From there I proceeded to France and was in the advance from Albert on the first of July 1916 where I was wounded and joined Headquarters at Whitley Bay. Returned to France again the same year and joined 14 West Yorkshire Regiment, wounded again and returned again the headquarters Whitley Bay, there I served until I was transferred to the reserve 31/5/19.
