Served Home 10/9/1914 to 5/11/1914, BEF 6/11/1914 to 8/1/1919, Home 9/1/1919 to 7/2/1919 to class Z reserve. 11/1/1915 Tried by FGCM for when on active service, 1, leaving his police post without orders from his CO. 2, Drunkenness, sentenced to 5 years penal servitude and dismissed from his majesty's service, sentence confirmed but commuted to 6 months Imprisonment with hard labour by OC 8 Division 13/1/1915, 4/7/1915 remainder of sentence remitted by GOC, returned to the 19 Hussars, No. 29460
7/2/1919 to class Z reserve. Served in BAOR with the 19 Hussars as the regimental boot maker his old civilian trade. 23/6/1893 shown as treated in Netley Hospital with TB of lung.
