Citation: | Acts of Courage Extracted From The Corps Order Books.P/1101 ACTING SERGEANT C W TOFT 3 TRAFFIC CONTROL COMPANY MILITARY FOOT POLICE4 ARMYExtract from 4 Army Routine Order No 1880 dated 14/3/18. The Army Commander wishes to express his appreciation of the following act of courage:-On 10th February 1918, a salvage dump containing bombs caught fire. No P/1101 Sgt C W Toft, MM, MFP in company with two other MFP's gave assistance in extinguishing the several fires which broke out. By their prompt action the further explosions of some 30 boxes of bombs were averted. A record of the above will be made in the Regimental Conduct sheet of this MFP in accordance with KR 1919 (XIV).
