Dear Sir, I am sorry to inform you that I am not fit for any of the class of reserve for I have completely broken down in health although I was a very strong man I hardly missed a days duty all the time I was in Egypt and Palestine. I was with the Connaught Rangers in France and Flanders early in 1914. I fought at the first battle of Ypres. I have received the 1914 Star from that unit but i expect to receive anything else I have coming from my last Corps the Military Police. I might inform you I have been awarded a pension of 8d per diam for 15 years with the colours, I also went through the S Africa war.
