Beveridge. - Great sympathy in Bray for Mr. Charles Beveridge, cycle agent, Quinsboro Road, Bray, on the receipt of the news of the death from wounds received in action of his brother Capt. James O'S. Beveridge, R.A.M.C. Capt. Beveridge, who was a son of Mr. John Beveridge, late town clerk of the city of Dublin, qualified at the National University, Dublin, shortly after the outbreak of war and he volunteered for active services immediately, as did also his twin brother, Capt. Arthur Beveridge, R.A.M.C, who qualified also as a doctor at the same time. The two brothers saw much active service together and had many exciting experiences on the Western Front. Another brother, Gerald O'H Beveridge is a sergeant in the Military Mounted Police on service in France, while the fourth brother of the family held a high rank in the Army Medical Service in Australia. The sad news of Cap5t. James Beveridge's death was received last Saturday to the effect that he died of wounds on 22nd November and a field postcard dated 22nd Nov. also was received from him buy his relatives stating he was quite well. The sympathy of the people of Bray will go out to Mr. Charles Beveridge and to the other relatives in their sorrowful affliction. |
