Served Home 17/7/1895 to 8/9/1896, India 9/9/1896 to 17/4/1899, Home 18/4/1899 to 19/10/1899, South Africa 20/10/1899 to 21/5/1903, Home 22/5/1903 to 20/6/1915, BEF 21/2/1915 to 17/1/1920, Home 18/1/1920 to 14/2/1920 to discharge. 5/9/1905 he married Alice Jane Cooper spinster at the Cathedral Church of St Brigid, Co Kildare. Mrs Clarke died at Shorncliffe 3/4/1915.
