Inspector Charles Reynolds, a native of Durley, has just retired from the Southampton Borough Police force after 26 years service. As a patrol inspector in the headquarters division, since the war, he has been concerned with the requisitioning of premises and the billeting of troops. He joined the Police Force on April 6, 1914 and a year later went to France with the Military Foot Police remaining there throughout the war. On demobilisation in August, 1919 he returned to the Southampton Police Force. |
