Extract from the Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 2/81917. Police Presentation.
Further evidence of the appreciation which members of the Sheffield Police Force have for their fighting colleagues has been shown in the case of Cpl S Rowbotham of the Military Foot Police who on the occasion of his return on short leave after 22 months in the front was presented with an illuminated wristlet watch, subscribed by his colleagues of the Brightside Division to which Cpl Rowbotham was attached prior to the war. The presentation was made Chief Inspector Flint.
