Citation: Northern Ireland. Citation for BEM: Sgt BROWN has served in the Regular Army for over 16 years. He enlisted in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, afterwards transferring to the Corps of Military Police. He has served as a Sergeant in 173 HQ Pro Coy, RMP since Oct 1944. During most of this period he has been the Senior Sergeant in the Company; he has therefore on numerable occasions and for considerable periods, had to undertake the duties of RSM and CQMS. Both these duties he has carried out very satisfactory at all times. Sgt BROWN is an NCO with a pleasant personality and his imperturbable good humor and willingness to turn his hand to anything has had a great influence in maintaining the efficiency of the Unit.Maj A E Winghold APM & OC 173 HQ Pro Coy.E V Lang Col AQ I have known Sgt Brown for a long time.
