Citation for MBE: He has been under my command for four years, two in Berlin and two in Singapore, and during this period has dealt successfully with hundreds of serious crimes from murder to larceny. There are no other SIB officers in Singapore and during my absence on tour he has virtually run the Singapore unit, and he is largely responsible for its present state of effiiciency. He is consistent, and over the period has served SIB beyond the normal calls of duty.
