Warrant Officer Class I SHEPPARD has served in the Middle East Theatre, since 12 Sept 56 based on Cyprus.2. In this capacity his role has been a dual one of WO i/c Investigations, exercising control and direction of all Investigations in Middle East Land Forces, and the administrative responsibility of the Establishment of Headquarters Special Investigation Branch, Middle East. His application to this task has been outstandingly effective.3. It is largely due to the good liaison and effective coordination, maintained by him, with the Cyprus Police Force, that highly satisfactory results have been obtained in may important cases investigated in conjunction with that Force. He has also been responsible for the development of the Special Investigation Photographic Laboratory which has resulted in an overall increased efficiency.4. In the absence of the Deputy Assistant Provost Marshal, Middle East, and/or the Officer Commanding Cyprus Detachment, Special Investigation Branch, he has frequently handled important information and directed Investigations with outstanding efficiency.5. Hes personality, leadership an man-management has been an example and inspiration to the section. He has applied himself to his wort with a zeal far beyond expected.
