Citation: | MBE citation: Malaya 15 Feb 58 to 31 Dec 59. During his whole army career and particularly during his service with ROYAL MILITARY POLICE, RSM TYLER has given his powers in a most outstanding and unstinting manner both as a soldier and as an SIB investigator. This has been most noticeable during the past two years in MALAYA. Personal discomfort and extreme inconveniences to himself when about his duties are completely disregarded. All his efforts, very often well in excess of what may be reasonably considered necessary, are devoted to the good name of the army. His recent excellent handling of a complicated and difficult investigation in INDIA and NEPAL is a good example of his higher than average conscientiousness and devotion to duty. It was a lengthy investigation involving officers and had to be handled very tastefully in view of the location and the people effected. Working virtually alone and using all his personal resoucefulness, he brought the enquiry to a satisfactory conclusion. Maj H Armitage RMP, DAPM HQ 17 Gurkha Div. |
