Citation: Italy. Citation for MBE: For outstanding services as APM 13 Corps during the campaign in Italy. Lt Col SHARP has been APM since 31 Mar 1944 until June 1945, during which time the Corps has been continuously deployed. The work of the Provost Services of 13 Corps under the direction of Lt Col Sharpe have been outstandingly efficient. By his drive, energy, tact and unfailing food humour, he has instilled into his men a keen sense of duty and cheerful endeavour, which have earned the praise of all formations in the Corps. During the advance from CASSINO in 1944, throughout the severe winter conditions in the Appenine Mountains, and in the final battles culminating in the pursuit to TRIESTE, the traffic problems of the Corps have been considerable. By his resource, initiative and his extreme devotion to duty, Lt col Sharp overcame all difficulties. He has made a great personal contribution to the success achieved by 13 Corps.
