Citation: Italy; Citation for MBE: For the past two and one half years Major BOND has been DAPM and APM of this HQ. His services here have been consistently reliable, and he has never spared himself at times of difficulty and tension. More that 600,000 troops of all nationalities have passed through the Port of TARANTO, and the fact of there being little serious trouble, I attribute largely to Major BOND's careful methods of control.Brig Comd 52 Area. Decoration: Military Cross (London Gazette: 31680 Page: 15318 Dec. 10, 1919)
Citation: France. Citation for Military Cross: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in action near Borissois on 10th November, 1918. A cyclist patrol which was going from Borissois to La Folie Farm was in danger of being cut off by a party of the enemy. Realising the danger of the patrol, he went out across country to find it, and bring it back by another route. Although exposed to heavy machine-gun fire, he succeeded in reaching it, and brought it back safely. The vigorous and boldness with which he has handled patrols have been a great asset throughout.Initial award shown in London Gazette 31266, page 4325 dated 2/4/1919.
