Citation: North West Europe. Citation for OBE: Lt-Col G W Ball has been DPM HQ First Cdn Army throughout the campaign in NWE. He has as a result had important responsibilities in connection with the maintenance of discipline, law and order in the army area, traffic control, and prisoners of war, refugees and stragglers. Lt-Col Ball has tackled all the problems which have come his way with exeptional industry and drive and has succeeded in instilling into his corps his own enthusiasm for its important tasks. In all fields the work of the Provost Corps has been highly efficient.
