| Citation: | North West Europe. Citation for the award of the OBE: Colonel Basset Wilson has been the Provost Marshal of 21 Army Group since its formation and before that of GHQ Home Forces. As such he has been responisible for the raising, training and operating of units of the Provost Service particularly in the present operation. The high standard attained by the Provost Service and their success in operations is a testimony to his ability and efficiency which speaks for itself.
