Citation: North West Europe. Citation for the MBE: During the period 1 Nov 44 - 31 Jan 45, this offr has handled the extremely difficult disciplinary problems in this area, particularly the port of GHENT, in an exeptionally capable manner. The presence of both rft personnel and personnel on leave from the front, in the same city has created many difficult problems and situations. Capt WOOD has been extremelty active in dealing with these matters and is most efficient in the discharge of his duties. The Comd (British) of the L of C Sub-Area has spoken of the great value to them of the work carried out by Capt WOOD and of the unusually high regard they have for the results he gets.
