Extract from the Bucks Herald, 23/7/48. Aston Clinton, Death of Mr V C Bone.
The death occurred at the Ministry of Pensions Hospital at Stoke Mandeville on Monday, after a fortnight's illness of ex-Private Victory Charles Bone, age 34, second son of Mr Arthur Bone and the late Mrs Bone of Aston Clinton. He had served in the Corps of Military Police and also in the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. During his Army service he met with a motor cycle accident in Dorset, from which he never recovered. Mr Bone, an old pupil of Weston Turville Church School was a member of the local branch of the British Legion. He leaves two young children. The funeral was yesterday at the Parish Church, interment following in the Churchyard.
