The General Officer Commanding wishes to express his appreciation of the gallant conduct of No P/741 L/Cpl Brown, MFP, on April 3rd 1918, in jumping into the water and rescuing a young Italian girl who had attempted suicide by throwing herself into a canal. An entry will be made in the Conduct Sheet of this NCO in accordance with King's Regulations, para 1919 (XIV). (AFO 1810 BEF, MFP, No20 dated 30/4/18).
