| Citation: | Citation: Colonel BUHRMASTER for exceptionally meritorious service as Provost marshal, Central Base Section, Communications Zone, European Theatre of Operations, United States Army. The duties of the Provost Marshal, London, because of the number of leave and duty troops and the location of Senior Allied Headquarters were of major importance in fostering inter-Allied harmony and assisting the prosecution of the war.
