London Gazette page 773, dated 2/12/1930: I Harry Bevan, of 7 Baylay Terrace, Stanhope Lines, Aldershot, in the county of Hants, a Garrison Quarter Master Sergeant, in the Military Provost Staff Corps and Garrison Staff, heretofore called and known by the name of "Harry Beetle" hereby give notice that on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, I renounce and abandoned the use of my said surname of Beetle and assumed in lieu, thereof the surname of Bevan; and further that such change of name is evidenced by a deed, dated the 26th day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, duly executed by me and attested and enrolled in the Enrollment Department of the Central Office of the Royal courts of Justine on the 27th day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty. - Dated the 28th day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.
