Another letter dated 19/5/1927 from the War Office recommending him for the Meritorious Service Medal with annuity and that his name has been placed on the register, but he should be informed that the list is a long one and that as the amount allotted to a Regiment for annuities is strictly limited. only the few with strongest claims can eventually rewarded.
