War Diary 5 Indian Div Pro Unit, WO 172/9837. 8/2/46 L/Cpl F Triggs sent to investigate a house containing an armed Indonesian and arrest him. The duty driver conveying L/Cpl Triggs, reported back to the unit that L/Cpl Triggs had received injuries and was taken to 82 IGH. A part of the unit immediately proceeded to the incident and found the concerned Indonesian dead. 2/3/46 18.35 hrs. L/Cpl Triggs A sent out to investigate an accident. He proceeded to 82 IGH where he was informed that the person knocked down by a truck from 145 PD Regt was 28536 Spr Puran Singh of 72 Ind Fd Coy. On admission to hospital Spr Puran Sing was dead, particulars of the accident were taken and a report submitted. 3/3/46. 11.50 hrs Civil Police HQ phoned and reported a sailor in drunken state causing annoyance. 14839118 L/Cpl Triggs A, sent out and escorted sailor back to his ship. 23/3/46 16.00 hrs More stocks of poisonous liquor impounded and destroyed by 14839118 L/Cpl F Triggs, at the docks. |
