| Citation: | Citation for Dutch Bronze Cross: At St. MICHAEL-GESTEL during the closing days of October this NCO was in charge of a Sub-Section controlling the traffic using the Bridge. This bridge was under constant shell-fire for a period of 3 days during which time it was put out of action 3 times. Sgt Allan's bearing under fire was an inspiration to his men.
