| Citation: | CMP (I).Citation for MM: 20/10/43 to 31/12/43. This NCO has been constantly in forward areas since the Division went into action in the Italian Campaign. His personal bravery and unselfishness have been an inspiration to the members of his section. Sgt Bishop, during the SANGRO battle, was in charge of a TCP which was at the bridgehead. Enemy OP's were at very short range, and his post was subjected to intense shelling. Throughout the whole action, Sgt Bishop displayed a measure of personal courage and devotion to duty which inspired others and which showed him to be utterly regardless of his own safety.
