Formerly PC 715 West Riding Constabulary who joined the force 1/4/34 having served 3 years in the Coldstream Guards. Served at Police HQ then Guisley an then to Dunscroft in 1937. 1/12/39 enlisted 20/2/40 transferred to CMP. He was killed in a road accident in England. History of the West Riding Constabulary 1856 - 1968, page A29, by Jack Alderson. 1 Pro Coy War Diary WO 166/53. 1 Pro Coy became 150 Pro Coy at Catterick. 28/6/4 Sgt Turner died in Harrogate Hospital in consequence of injuries received in a motor accident.
