Sergeant. F M Stevens Acting Sergeant Major, Military Foot Police who died from quinsy in Le Havre Military Hospital was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs J Stevens, 35 Rainsford road, Chelmsford, who have tow other sons serving, one being wounded. The late Sergeant Stevens leaves a widow and one daughter. He was formerly employed in the hardening shop at Hoffmann's.
