FUNERAL - The funeral too place at Weedon on Wednesday of Mr Lester Harvey Berry, for many years foreman at the Royal Army Ordnance Department. Mr Berry, who was 61, was an old soldier having served in the 11th Hussars, 7 Dragoon Guards and Military Mounted Police. He joined the Ordnance Department at Pimlico in January, 1897 and was transferred to Weedon in 1902, serving there until ill health caused his retirement less than three weeks ago. Mr Berry was accorded a semi military funeral, the coffin covered with the Union Jack, being borne on a gun carriage lent by the Commandant, Equitation School.
