Citation: Military Medal Citation.North West EuropeFrom 15 November to 17 December 1944 and again since 13 January 1945 Sergeant Day's Provost Section has been deployed in the forward Brigade area north of TEVEREN and GEILENKIRCHEN. The area has been frequently under considerable enemy shell fire and is one of the exceptionally difficult road and track communications.. Sergeant Day by his own exertions and cheerful courage has ensured that all possible assistance has been given to forward battalions in whose area he has been working throughout this time and for all of the tasks for which Sergeant Day has been detailed his personal enthusiasm, hard work, initiative and example have inspired his section to achieve and maintain a standard second to none.Awarded a periodical MM.
