Believed To Be A Prisoner.
"Missing believed to be a prisoner of war." is the official report Mrs Bradshaw of Shakespeare Road has received about her husband Lance Corporal Richard Samuel Bradshaw of the Corps of Military Police.
Lance Corporal Bradshaw joined up in July 1940 and went to the Middle East in the following March. he is a Fleetwood lad, the only son of Mr and Mrs S Bradshaw of Harris Street.
He is 29, and worked for Ribble Moto Services for 10 years, but for five months before joining the Army he worked on the fish market for the Boston Deep Sea Fishing an Ice Co. Ltd.
Lance Corporal Bradshaw's wife was Miss Millie Sparks. The couple have two children, six years old Richard and four years old Pat.
