Yes, escaped from Camp 186/GW and was out six weeks until finally released by the Russians. Sabotage, did you destroy any enemy material ? Yes, stopped machinery working at camp 11047 whilst acting as interpreter on road works. Collaboration with the enemy ? None. On May 1945 whilst hiding in a house for nearly six weeks we were released by Russian Troops. We were later put on a lorry and sent to Gray where we later made our way on foot to join the 27 Lancers who were 24 km away. We later made our way to Klagenfurt and then by air to Naples.
