| Citation: | 1 Canadian Pro Coy RCMP, 1 Canadian Division, 5 Corps.Citation: Throughout the Italian Campaign Corporal STEWART has done outstanding work. On numerous occasions he has been under heavy artillery, mortar and small arms fire. Nevertheless he has remained at his post and with the greatest coolness and determination has continued to exercise control of traffic at the vital points at which he has been stationed. Shortage of personnel has put a great strain on the Provost available, necessitating long hours on duty without relief. In spite of this, Corporal Stewart has at all times and in all weathers performed hid duties cheerfully and supremely well.
