Served Home 10/12/1891 to 4/5/1898, Malta 5/5/1898 to 30/11/1899, South Africam31/11/1899 to 12/3/1901, Home 13/3/1901 to 7/6/1904, South Africa 8/6/1904 to 16/2/1909, Home 17/2/1909 to 9/12/1912 rank Sgt, to discharge time expired. 29/5/1904 married Nora Patterson Craven at St John's Bell Road, Guernsey, they had 8 children. On discharge he went to Australian and on 24/9/1913 re enlisted at Melbourne in the Australian ASC, No. 231, Instructional Staff, Acting Staff Sergeant Major, 21/11/1916 passed Musketry Course at Randwick, 14/11/1917 promoted to WO class II, 19/3/1923 passed No.7 Physical Training Course. Awarded the Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, MO552/1921 (record contains 2 x medal cards stating ineligible for LS & GC dated 19/3/1920,No. now 18084. 17/7/1933 he died at Raymont Road, Alderley, from chronic arthritis, myocarditis, heart failure. Buried in Lutwyche Cemetery, Kedron, Brisbane.
