He was awarded the King's Coronation Medal. 6/9/1918 he was posted to an Officer Cadet Training Unit on the Isle of Wight, Service, Home 31/5/1916 to 2/4/1916, Overseas 3/4/1916 to 2/6/1918, Distinctions, Military Medal, Police Coronation Medal, wounded No., Education Good, Manor Road School, London, to train a platoon, very good - sound all round. Ability to Command a platoon Very good indeed - has confidence and knowledge and would make a good leader, special qualifications, Bombing, Remarks: The Battalion was granted 7 days leave owing to influenza. This Cadet was brought before me for overstaying he leave from 23.59 on the 12th inst until 18.00hrs on the 14th inst. He was reprimanded. I have accordingly returned him to his unit for duty in the ranks, he proceeded to join on the 19th inst.
