Qualified in Physical Training at Aldershot, 3/1/1912 to 30/4/1902, qualified at Hythe (school of musketry) 30/4/1913. Discharged to Commission, London Gazette 29335, 10372, 21/10/1915: The Dorsetshire Regiment, S/Sgt Albert Ernest Barton from MPSC, dated 13/9/1915. Next of Kin Father, Canteen Steward, Horfield Buildings, Bristol. Inscription on gravestone: A good son and a true soldier may he rest in pace.
