Mrs Stevenson, who resided with her sister, Mrs Brunger, of Baldings, Wivelsfield, has heard from her husband Corporal Robert Stevenson of the Corps of Military Police that he is a prisoner of war, and Vatican sources have announced that he is in Italy and in good health. He was officially reported missing on April 6th. Corporal Stevenson whose age is 30, enlisted in the Seaforth Highlanders about seven years ago and was transferred to the Corps of Military Police in 1936. He was sent to Palestine in October, 1938 and has not been home since. He has thus not seen his son, who is two and a half years old. |
