(Below is an news extract to long to show here involving the above NCO.) Extract from the Medway News, 4 August 1950. I Struck Her With a Hammer. Following an argument with his father, James Chrisopher O'Regan, 22, a Journeyman - Electrician of White Road, Chatham, left the house and walked to Walderslade, There, he met a married woman on her way home through some wood and is alleged to have struck her so severely on her head with the handle of a hammer that if fractured her skull. Continuing mr. Weale said that on July 4th Mr. Edmond Ernest Baukham, of South Park Road, Maidstone visited his week end hut at Victoria Road, Walderslade and found that it had been entered and that a tiler's hammer was missing. Later, he found a purse which was identified as belonging to Mrs Hicks. Another hammer was also found in the hut and the police were informed. |
