In a recent publication of the London Gazette it was announced that Sgt John F R White, Corps of Military Police 3, Desmond Avenue, Beverley High Road, Hull, has been mentioned in despatches for services in Italy. Son of Mr and Mrs D R White, 13, St Mary's Avenue, Bricknell Avenue and educated at Hymers College. Sgt White was on the staff of Law Union and Rock Insurance Co. Ltd. before being called up in September 1939. |
