Citation: Italy. Citation for MBE: During the period 1 Apr - 2 May, Lt Weedon was in charge of administration in 1 Armd Div Pro Coy. During this period the unit was employed on numerous Provost and traffic tasks which entailed sudden and lengthy moves under adverse conditions. Detachments of this unit were frequently operating at great distance from the HQ, and intercommunication was throughout difficult. This officer by his application to duty and his personal ability enabled this unit at all times to function with a maximum of efficiency and speed, and his example and energy were an inspiration to all concerned. Preciously this officer has commanded this unit for lengthy periods in the absence of the OC, and at all ties has the same exceptional conscientiousness, drive and ability been shown. During the early part of December, this officer was in charge of a detachment of his Coy employed on traffic duties on the LAMONE Rd. Conditions were particularly difficult, and this officer throughout, by his example and great personal effort, materially assisted in obtaining a maximum flow of operational traffic through this bottleneck.APM 5 Corps.
