| Citation: | 467 Cpl. (L/Sgt.) W G Couzens, 4 Bn. Guards Machine Gun Regt. (Chippenham). For gallantry and energy from 16th September - 11th November, 1918, particularly on 19th September, near Meouvres, when he was in charge of transport, and without regard to personal danger he guided his teams through exceptionally heavy shell-fire to the guns in the front line with ammunition, which was urgently needed.
