WEDDING Two Godstone families were united by the marriage at the Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Gladys Edith Beauchamp, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Beauchamp. The Bungalow, Godstone Court and Mr Robert William Barnard, eldest son of Mr and Mr Herbert J Barnard, Tylers Green, Godstone. The Rev. Paul R Wansey officiated at the wedding ceremony. the bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a powder blue ensemble with navy blue hat and she carried a bouquet of pink carnations. She was attended by one small bridesmaid, her cousin, Miss Jean Adams. Jean was in pale blue velvet and had a wreath of roses and forget me nots in her hair and carried a Victorian posy. Mr F H Barnard acted as best man to his brother, Fifty guests attended the reception a the bride's home. Mr and Mrs Robert Barnard received over eighty handsome presents. |
