Re enlisted age 32.11 years, occupation Police Constable, home address: 25 Chesham Street, Leamington Spar. He formerly served 12 years in the Royal Horse Guards. Enlisted in the MMP 3/6/1915. age 32 years. Served Home 3/6/1915 to 26/7/1915, BEF 27/7/1915 to 12/4/1916, Home 13/4/1916 to 6/6/1916, discharged no longer physically fit.
1/11/16 Man still in Suffolk County Asylum, total incapacity, 18/4/16 County of Middlesex War Hospital, Napsbuy, General Paralysis of the Insane. He was injured and returned to Netley Hospital 13/4/1916 to 18/4/1916 then to The County of Middlesex War Hospital, Napsbury. He is shown as discharged from the army 4/6/1916. Shown as suffering from a general paralysis of the insane.
20/10/1915 he married Maude Marrion Moss at St Mary's Church, Leamington Spa. He is named in a book Forgotten Lunatics of the Great War, page 183. "HORACE VIVIAN TREMLETT this man is apparently suffering from General Paralysis". Was accepted as a war casualty by the CWGC in 2008. His name is to be listed on the Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial. Obviously died as a result of war service and after discharge from the army.

Extract from the Warwick and Warwickshire Advertiser 15 July 1916. LEAMINGTON.
That in consequence of P.C. Tremlett (who has been serving in France with the Military Mounted Police having been discharged as unfit for further military service and the army separation allowance to his wife and child having ceased, the police separation allowance to his wife and child having ceased, the police separation allowance be continue to his wife pending the decision of the Chelsea Hospital Commissioners with reference to the grant of a pension.
