This info was found in another document: 2nd Witness: Reg. No. 334 Sergeant W Allcorn of the Military Mounted Police statement at Newbridge on the night of the 7th January 1901, about 9.40 O'clock, I was on duty in Main Street when I saw Driver Mason of the Army Service Corps being dragged along the pavement by several men belonging to the Army Service Corps. He was very drunk. I then too him to the Royal Horse Artillery Guardroom when I saw that he was bleeding from a wound in the head. I then took him to hospital where he was detained. I know nothing of an assault by a civilian on Main Street.
3rd Witness was Reg. No. 213, Cpl G Pickersgill, His Majesty's Reserve Regiment of Dragoon Guards, acting Military Mounted Police who corroborated Sgt Allcorn's statement.
William Benjamin Allcorn.
