Extract from the Dublin Daily Express, Friday 3/12/1909.
Yesterday the remains of the late Cpl. James West, of the Dublin Company, Military Police Corps were interred in the Garrison Cemetery, Phoenix Park, Dublin, with full military honours. The funeral from the Royal Infirmary was preceded by the band of the Royal Fusiliers, following which was the gun carriage containing the coffin, on the lid resting the helmet and side arms of the deceased. Accompanied by a number of floral wreaths. All available NCO's and men of the Dublin detachment marched in double file to the cemetery.
