Citation: Normandy. Citation for BEM: CQMS THOMPSON landed with the GUARDS ARMOURED DIVISIONAL PROVOST COMPANY in NORMANDY during June 1944. Largely due to his outstanding ability and continuous hard work at all times and in all conditions, the Company has been tremendously assisted in carrying out its duties.
