The death of Police Constable Charles William Bellamy Clarke, of the Boston Borough Police Fo54rce, occurred at his residence, 62 Granville Street, on Monday night. Deceased, who was 31 years of age, was a native of Boston and joined the Police Force about eigh6t years ago. Previously he was employed on the Great Northern Railway. In May, 1916, he enlisted in the Military Mounted Police and was in training at Aldershot fo4r duty in German East Africa and came home on draft leave some time ago. But his health gave way and he was invalided to the Connaught and Brompton Hospitals and subsequently to Lincoln and recently returned home a victim to consumption. He leaves a widow and three children.
