Citation for BEM: Staff Sergeant ALBERTSON has had an especially arduous and responsible time throughout the last year and especially during the time under review. He has had a most difficult task as a Staff Sergeant Royal Corps of Military Police and in respect of these duties alone he has done a job far and away beyond the standard and normal requirements of his appointment. He has had many most difficult, complicated, and at times dangerous, tasks to carry out and all these he has performed in a quite outstanding manner which has been an inspiration to all those with whom he has come in contact. He has worked long hours with cheerful optimism and unfailing zeal which has accomplished first class results. He has personally instituted close co-operation and confidence with the local police in their work which entirely by his own inititative has had most valuable results. Recently he has had the organisation of a special detached party and has had a task to perform which would normally be given to an officer. Again he has shown an outstanding ability and zeal which have been a credit to the Army as a whole in the area concerned, and has achieved most important results. His high sence of duty, his keenness, energy and ability have been of the most outstanding order and his work recently has well earned him especial recognition by Her Majesty The Queen.Col E D Rash PM Middle East Land Forces.
