Sentenced to 21 days detention. 16/5/17 transferred to MFP. 20/7/12 he sailed from Liverpool to Quebec, 3rd class on the SS Megantic where he became a Policeman in Toronto. 3/7/12 he married Mary Crossland at Holy Trinity Church, Darlington, they had four children: Arthur 28/2/15, Elizabeth 26/12/16, Kathleen 5/3/19, Thomas 5/3/19. 29/4/18 placed in P reserve for employment with the Chief Constable, Durham, 19/8/18 recalled to the colours on medical grounds. Letter in Army Record: L/Cpl Wise was a Civil Policeman in Toronto, Canada on the outbreak of war he was mobilized off Section "B" of the Army Reserve in London on 5th September 1914. He was wounded on 22/10/14 and again later on 28/9/15, and his wife and one child are shown to have arrived in England from Canada on 16/12/15. The eldest child was born in Toronto on the 28/2/15. After the war he returned to Canada with his family.
