Brighton, The MSM has been conferred on another member of the Brighton Force, Sergeant-Major P Barnden, Military Mounted Police, his distinction being gazetted on October 18th. Police Review 10/11/16, page 455. The Medaille Militaire Sgt P Barndon (Barnden), who is on service in France with the MMP, has been awarded the Medaille Militaire, and was decorated recently by one of the French Generals. he saw service in the Boer War, and gained two medals. He subsequently joined the Brighton Police Force, and was attached to the Fire Brigade. He rejoined the Army at the start of the War. Police Review 1917. |
